A story that’ll never get written
I keep waiting for this story to happen, but it never has. I’m tired of waiting to break the big exclusive, so the heck with it. I’ll write it anyway: Baseball representatives from the Houston Astros, the Texas Longhorns and the Texas A&M Aggies converged in Lufkin this past week to announce the signing of Bubba “Little Dude” Smith, the phenom taking the baseball world by storm.

A wildfire in the Texas Panhandle has consumed more than 1 million acres and as of Sunday was just 15% contained, according to the Texas A&M Forest Service. It is the largest wildfire in Texas history.
