John Allen Cox of Mexia passed away on Sept.18, 2021, in Groesbeck at the age of 87. A graveside service will be held at noon Wednesday, Dec. 22, in the Faulkenberry Cemetery in Groesbeck with Barry Pennington officiating.
Eugene Gordon Messinger, formerly of Jewett, passed away Dec. 5, 2021, in Mexia at the age of 62. Eugene was born March 11, 1959, in San Angelo to Ernest Eugene and Scharline (Gaskey) Messinger.
Gwen McDonald Slaine was born Aug. 4, 1949, in Groesbeck to Walter L. McDonald and Lovie Matthews McDonald. Gwen grew up in Groesbeck and attended Groesbeck High School, graduating in 1967. She passed away Nov. 13, 2021.
Tina Diane Johnson was born to the parentage of the late Granville Hutchinson and Alice S. Adams on March 19, 1970, in Mexia.
Rosie Marie Blacknall Jackson was born March 19, 1933, to Mr. and Mrs. William Blacknall. She received her formal education at Blackshear School. She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age at Lone Star Baptist Church and was a faithful member until her health failed.
