Kay passed away on July 5, 2022, at Nacogdoches Medical Center surrounded by her family; husband, David Mohundro, daughter, Amanda Sellers; and her grandchildren, Rhiannon and Jacob Gresham.

Peggy Jean Goodman Cannon came into this world on Oct. 21, 1931, with a “fighting” will to live at only 3 pounds. She was born at home in Mexia. Her incubator was a shoe box placed on the extended oven shelf with heated rocks around it to keep her tiny body warm. Her baby bottle was an eyedropper. Her small face was the size of a silver dollar. Her odds were slim, but she fought through it! A miracle by God! Psalm 139:13-16
