William Franklin Lauderdale, 85 of Wortham, passed away Nov. 8, 2023, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Christopher Knox officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Wortham Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
John Henry Jenkins of Groesbeck, Texas, 97, passed Tuesday, Oct. 24. He was born Sept. 14, 1926, in Thornton, the son of Etta Belle (Herod) Jenkins and Henry K.
Glenda Nell Strickland Hamilton, 80, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 24, in Tyler. Glenda was born on July 10, 1943, in Gatesville. to Sarah Nell Strickland and Gwendell Strickland.
Ted Augustus “Teddy” Weaver II passed away Thursday, Oct. 12, at his home in Wortham at 68. Visitation with the family was from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 16, at First Baptist Church of Wortham with Tuffy Loftin officiating. Interment followed in the Wortham Cemetery.
