William Shelton Moore, of Mexia, passed away on Feb. 20, 2021 in Waco, at the age of 85. A graveside service was to be held at noon, Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, in the Tehuacana Cemetery with the Rev. Shane Norcross officiating.

John Henry Fisher, formerly of Mexia, passed away Feb. 18, 2021 in Pasadena, at the age of 93. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in the Faulkenberry Cemetery with the Rev. Shane Norcross officiating.

James Hamilton “Jimmy” Oliver was born in Mexia on Oct. 31, 1949, to the late Jack and Virginia Byers Oliver. He was called home Feb. 20, 2021, at Parkview Regional Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at the Mexia Cemetery, with the Rev. Marcus Sheffield and Ray Jones officiating. The family received friends at Jones Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23. Honorary pallbearers are Clint Williford, John Josey, Tim Humphreys, Donald Barger, David Brubaker, Glenn Williford and Andrew Schuster

Martha Nell (Eubanks) Helweg passed away on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, in Mexia. She was born May 9, 1946, to Fred and Nell (Morgan) Eubanks in Mexia. After graduating Mexia High School in 1964, she attended Sam Houston State University where she met her husband, Barry Ray Helweg, and the two were married Nov. 24, 1965. After living a short time in Frost and Fairfield, Barry and Martha moved back to Mexia, where they have lived for more than 50 years.
