WILLIAM ALBERT MAJORS
William Albert Majors was born Jan. 8, 1946, in Nashville, Tenn., to the late Dr. Buford and Eddie Majors. The Lord called him home on Oct. 21, 2020, at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia.
William received his early education in the Nashville Public School System, graduating from Cameron High School in 1965. William later received an associate degree from Saint Phillips College in San Antonio.
William entered the U.S. Army following high school, serving two tours in Vietnam. He retired from the Army in 1985 after 21 years of service.
William married Ms. Shirley Savage in 1967. To this union, one daughter, Theresa, was born. William later married Ms. Georgia Rowe and to this union one son, William Jr., was born. William married Miss Arma Jones in 2008 and remained in marital bliss until his passing.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Buford and Eddie Majors; and brothers Richard Buford, James and Samuel Majors; and sister-in-law Hope Jones.
William is survived by his loving wife, Arma Majors; children William Jr. (Jennifer) of Round Rock, Theresa (Douglas) of Madison, Tenn., Sheila (Sheldon Payne) of Pensacola, Fla; step-daughter Donzaleigh of Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren: Evelyn, Abigail, Jordan and Morgan Sister -in- laws: Imogene (Eddie), Carolyn (Mac), Kathleen, Eveleen (Allen), Earnestine, Regina and Joyce Majors; brothers-in-law Curtis (Mary), L.A. (Ella), Earnest (LaVerne) and Kenneth Jones; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Funeral service and arrangements entrusted to Pearly Gates Funeral Home of Mexia. Service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 11 a.m. at Mustang Baptist Church of Prairie Hill.
