Prezell A. Washington Frazier
Prezell A. Washington Frazier was born March 9, 1936, in Mexia, to the parentage of Johnnie Odell Anderson Tatum. She was an only child.
She received her formal education in Mexia, at Douglas Dunbar. Prezell was a faithful member of New Home Baptist Church in her formative years under the leadership of Pastor L.L. Sharefield. She later became a member of Beulah Baptist Church, until her health declined and she was unable to attend.
She loved cooking and sewing. Prezell worked for South Limestone Hospital and Sallie B’s Restaurant for several years. She was also a Foster Grandparent for many years.
Prezell was married to Frank Albert Frazier, Jr. or 45 years.
Prezell closed her eyes in sweet rest on Jan. 16, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one grandchild.
She leaves to cherish her memories: four sons, Billy (Glenda) Washington, Maurice (Michele) Washington, and Rick Washington, of Mexia, and John Washington, of Houston; surrogate daughter Sheila Hodge, of Coolidge; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Service to be held on Sunday, Jan. 20, at 2 p.m. at Westside Church of Christ in Mexia. The service and arrangements are entrusted to Pearly Gates Funeral Home, of Mexia.
