Patrick Carter Lokey

Patrick Lokey was born Oct. 8, 1951, and died peacefully at his home in Longview on Dec. 18, 2018, surrounded by family and dear friends at the age of 67 after a brief illness.

Pat is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara; son, Steven Lokey of Longview; daughter, Sarah Barton and husband Jason of Quinlan; sister, Robin Grabs and husband Rodger of Elkhart,; two nephews, Ian and Grant Lokey of Los Angeles, Calif., and niece Tracey Grabs of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Bill Lokey; his brothers, Tim Lokey and Dan Lokey; and his nephew Leonard Grabs.

Pat and Barbara met in high school and were married in their hometown of Mexia. He moved his family to Longview in 1980 where he started a long career in the grocery business. Pat was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and looked forward to every game.

The family would like to express their gratitude to LifeCare Hospice, Dr. Rick Earnest and Dr. Ronald Scott for their compassion and exceptional care, in addition to countless friends and family whose calls, texts, and visits made his journey easier.

As his request, there will be no services, but a private memorial at a later date.
