Louis Leon ‘Pelow’ Price Sr .
Louis Leon Price Sr. (Pelow), passed away Dec. 23, 2018, in Mexia at the age of 77. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 27, at the Cobb Cemetery Pavilion in Thornton with Debra Turner officiating. Josh Price, Justin Price, Jason Price, James Price, Nathan Price, Jeremy Price and Zachary Reece served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Steve Bunch (Beard), Michael Johnson, Kris Reindollar and Dalton Reece. Junior honorary pallbearers were Josh Price Jr., Marcus Molina, Michael Fortunato and Jason Price Jr.
Pelow was born Jan. 26, 1941, in Corsicana to Ed and Dovie Reed Price. He grew up in Dallas on Ingersol and 3609 Bedford. He owned and operated Price’s Roofing Company for 55 years; he loved the roofing business. Pelow was loyal to his family and a man whose word was his bond.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 42 years; 10 brothers, three sisters; and two great-granddaughters.
Pelow is survived by his loving children, Louis Price Jr. and wife Barbara of Teague, Sandra Reece and husband Johnny of Mexia, James Price and wife Elizabeth of Mexia and Otis Price and wife Destiny of Mexia; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one greatgreat-grandchild; special friend, Helen Shipp Rodgers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
