Gary Wayne Kelley
Funeral services for Gary Wayne Kelley, 42, were held Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Teague. Brother Justin Colquette officiated. Interment followed at Salem Cemetery near Freestone.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, with the family present, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.
Mr. Kelley passed away on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021, at his residence near Freestone.
Gary Wayne Kelley was born July 14, 1978, in Waco to parents Vickie Sterling and Vantley Kelley Jr. He grew up in Wortham and graduated from Wortham High School. Gary loved to collect coins, ride backroads with his buddies, spend time with his family, and astrology.
He was survived by his two sons, Dillon Kelley and David Kelley, both of Teague; his mother, Vickie Beene and husband Rusty of Teague; his father, Vantley Kelley Jr. of Oklahoma; father, Bruce Baker and wife Reba of Whitesboro; eight siblings, Cheree Wilcoxen and husband Joey of Fairfield, Vantley Kelley of Wortham, Linda Mullins of Henderson, Amy and Jess Beene of Teague, Tanya Bosley and husband Travis of Wortham, Carrie Jo Ogilvie and husband Whit of Mexia, Michele Pulac and husband Tim of Whitesboro, and Mystie Baker; his grandfather, Sammie Sterling of Wortham; special nephew and friend Colton Chappell; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Kelley was preceded in death by his stepfather, James (Sonny) Middleton; maternal grandmother, Faye Sterling; paternal grandparents, Vantley Kelley Sr. and Maxine Williams Kelley; one sister, Rachael Baker; and one brother-in-law, Vince Mullins.
