Joe Wayne Vincent

Graveside service will be held for Joe Wayne Vincent at 11 a.m. Nov. 3 at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Thornton. Eulogist for the service is the Rev. Nathaniel Bedford. Services are entrusted to Pearly Gates Funeral Home of Mexia.

Joe Wayne was born on Nov. 28, 1953, to Ira and Leola (Perkins) Vincent.   He attended Groesbeck schools and graduated high school in 1970. Until his health failed, he worked for Marlin VA hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents.  He passed away Oct. 24, 2018.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and dedicated cousin, Bernice Perkins Hawkins (Sidney), and her children, Shirley Ann, Sidney Ray and Jacqueline; his loving cousin, Janice Belcher; and aunt Opal Faye Perkins.

He was loved by so many friends especially his dear friends Sharon and Michael Chambers.  He will also be missed by his friend and special neighbors Clara Mae Clinton, Cindi Bridges, Sharon Marie Chambers and a very special friend Willie Morgan.
