Groesbeck parent leads child to turn himself in for thef

The parent of a Groesbeck boy reported his son was responsible for stealing a campaign sign from another residence. The report was made Sunday, Sept. 27, a few minutes after 12:45 p.m.

Two drivers, two drug paraphernalia citations

Two Mexia police officers stopped two drivers in the past week and found drug paraphernalia in the vehicles. Both drivers were issued citations and released.

Mexia Garden Club starts season with President’s Tea

The Mexia Garden Club met on Sept. 16 at First Baptist Church, Mexia, for the first time since February. It was the first meeting of the season which is also the President’s Tea, and was hosted by the President and the officers. Officers include President Patty Manley, Vice president Jackie Tidwell, Secretary Pat Cox, Treasurer Judy Speer, Parliamentarian Ed Cox; and Reporter Gayle Beene.
