The Mexia Garden Club presented the Most Traditional Outdoor Christmas Lighting award to Danny and Sher Feuge and their grandson, James. The lovely display is located at 900 Hinchliffe Road. They have been collecting the decorations for many years. The nativity scene was started by Mr. Ferge with a few parts before they were married. The collection has special meaning since they were married at Christmas time.

Christmas at the Fort Saturday saw an estimated 350 people participate as the old fort put on demonstrations of colonial skills. Interested attendees bundled up to brave the chill air, but the bright sunny sky helped make the experience a delight for most.
