McDonald’s scholarship applications being accepted
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater North Texas (RMHCNTX) announced the opening of applications for its Scholarship Program, which grants more than $60,000 to 30 local high school seniors each year.
Board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon comes to Mexia
Parkview Regional Hospital has announced that Robert Launikitis, M.D., has joined its staff and will be offering orthopedic surgical services to patients in Mexia and the surrounding East Texas region. Dr. Launikitis, a Texas native, is the first surgeon to join Parkview Regional Hospital this year as the hospital continues to grow its primary care and surgical services.

Mexia close to same revenue as January 2020, pre-COVID
Although sales tax revenues are down across Texas, the Bi- Stone counties are mostly in the black, with the exception of Teague, which is struggling at nearly 19 percent down from last January. Mexia is also down a bit but only slightly less than 1 percent.
