Unusually strong winds – right at 50 to 60 mph – that ordinarily do not blow around the Mexia vicinity caused more than 1,200 power outages throughout the rural areas of Limestone County Thursday, Oct. 28.
Calvary Baptist Church of Mexia will be offering a very special “Surviving the Holidays” seminar for adults and, for the first time, children who are wondering how they will survive the weeks surrounding Thanksgiving and Christmas.
This week at Mexia LTC we started off playing bean bag toss on Monday morning. Residents played bingo on Monday afternoon. Residents enjoyed Bible study by Bob Kersten on Tuesday morning. Residents hallway bowled on Tuesday afternoon.
Sherri Hall, already a consultant for Paparazzi Jewelry, is opening Mexia’s newest business, Big Baby Bling Boss LLC, which is located at 200 N. Paris St. The ribbon-cutting for her new store was at 2 p.m. Monday.
