Nurses put in long hours as they work tirelessly to advocate for their patients. While any time of year is an opportunity to thank the nurses in our lives, there are various events throughout the year that pay special homage to these hardworking professionals.
Michael and Brandi Jones of Jones Funeral Services recently made a $1,000 donation to the Limestone Cancer Support Group. Peggy Franklin, center, board member and secretary for the group accepted the donation. The Limestone Cancer Support Group is a local charity which provides assistance to Limestone County citizens who are undergoing cancer treatment.
Beautiful Springfield Hall near Historic Old Fort Parker in Limestone County was the perfect setting for Jonathan Hardin Chapter’s Centennial Tea on Sunday, March 27, in honor of state regent Marcy Carter-Lovick. Lovick and chapter regent Nancy Brown McSwane, welcomed more than 60 Texas Daughters to celebrate Jonathan Hardin Chapter’s 100th anniversary.
This week at Mexia LTC we started off with Bible study on Monday morning. Residents played bingo on Monday afternoon.
