Longbotham Masonic Lodge No. 428 presents Amy Jo Miller with the Community Builder Award. Miller and her family are pictured with the Wortham lodge’s Worshipful Master Mark Taylor, District Deputy R.W. Tom Levi and Marshal Scott Mills. Miller is the academic advisor and administrator in technology at Wortham I.S.D. High School. Miller has shown her deep devotion and service to the many students of Wortham ISD. She’s done a great job guiding students. Gaining a well-known sound foundation to a better tomorrow.

Mexia resident Marty Cargile inherited a tiny, but mighty staff when he bought Mexia Insurance Service, an independent insurance agency, which provides automotive, home, bond and commercial insurance, two years ago in 2020.

Mexia LTC News
This week at Mexia LTC we started off with Bible study on Monday morning. We also had wheelchair races on Monday morning to start off National Nursing Home Week (May 8-14). Residents played bingo on Monday afternoon. Residents enjoyed Bible Group with Bob Kersten on Tuesday morning. Residents enjoyed a popcorn bar and singing event provided by Chris Low with Amedisys Hospice on Tuesday afternoon.
