This week at Mexia LTC we started off with Bible Study by Irma Carranza on Monday morning. Residents played bingo that afternoon.
About 70 residents moseyed between tables Saturday night, Sept. 10, placing bids on auction items during the Limestone County Crime Stoppers annual dinner and fundraising event at First Baptist Church in Mexia. “It’s those guys out in the field who take the calls; they are the ones that stop crime. What we do is try to provide things to facilitate them stopping crime,” Crime Stoppers Vice Chairwoman Penny Gray said about law enforcement officers.
Mexia City Council returned at 6:44 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, from executive session, where they discussed City Manager Eric Garretty’s resignation.
