JPs receive stipends to help administer Damon Allen Act
The Limestone County Commissioners Court, during its Nov. 8 meeting, approved stipends regarding the Damon Allen Act, approved paying an invoice for fence repairs and accepted revenue from a grant program for improved communications.

The MISD campuses hosted a Veterans Day celebration, complete with breakfast in the library and a band-led parade from there into to the gym for a presentation attended and led by the students from all the campuses. TOP: Col. Bill Matthews, who served in the Army from 1967 to 1992, and wife, Carol, are joined by the Collins family, including Nic Collins, who retired from the Air Force Special Ops after serving from 2001 to 2011, and his wife, Maria, and children Jessie and Justus. ABOVE: MISD students lead a packed gymnasium in the pledges to the U.S. flag and the Texas flag. More photos will be posted online and in Wednesday’s paper.
