Cold, windy weather and COVID-19 once again reduced the numbers of those who ordinarily attend Mexia’s annual Celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. on Saturday, Jan. 15, which was the actual date of his birthday.

This week at Mexia LTC we started off with reading on Monday morning. Residents played hallway ring toss on Monday afternoon. Residents enjoyed activities of choice on Tuesday morning and played hallway bean bag toss on Tuesday afternoon.
Following are titles of more nonfiction books which the Gibbs Memorial Library has purchased to replace those that were destroyed in the 2019. Library Director ShienDee Pullman are diligently working to process and shelve hundreds of new books.
