Mexia High School teacher accused of improper relationship with student
The Mexia Police Department arrested a Mexia High School teacher on Wednesday, March 8, charged with Sexual Assault of a Child and Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student. The information came via a joint press release from MPD and the Mexia Independent School District.
Roselynn Castillo, 33, of Mexia, is facing second-degree felonies. She was transported to the Limestone County Jail in Groesbeck. Upon MISD being made aware of these allegations in February, the administration contacted the Mexia Police Department and placed the employee on paid administrative leave. The safety and well-being of all MISD students and faculty remain the school district’s priority, according to the press release.
Citing the ongoing investigation, MPD released no further details.
