To say Mexia got thrown a curve ball in the biennial UIL realignment announced Thursday morning is an understatement.

As it drops to Class 3A next season, Mexia is reportedly going where no 3A school in the state has gone before.
The Mexia football team will be in a smaller district, but will spend more time on the road over the next two years, according to the UIL district realignment which was announced this morning.
