The Wortham baseball team defeated Mart, 7-4, at home Friday to win its fifth District 14-2A contest in six outings. The victory avenged a 16-10 loss to Mart earlier in the week.
The Mexia baseball team lot its first two District 18-4A games in different fashion.
After three consecutive victories to begin the District 18-4A softball season, the Mexia Ladycats had to battle back against Robinson at Ladycat Field on Monday night.
Mart pulled away from Wortham with a late barrage of runs for a 16-10 victory in a District 14-2A baseball game at Mart on Tuesday.
