Lady Bulldogs dump Avalon to take third in tourney

The Wortham girls basketball team erupted for 24 points in the second quarter while pitching a shutout during the stanza and went on to defeat Avalon, 51-30, to claim third place in the Avalon Tournament on Saturday.

Three Blackcat football players earn first team all-district
