Madisonville pulled away from Mexia in the third quarter and rolled to a 51-34 win over the Ladycats in a girls basketball game at the Mexia High School gym Saturday.
The biennial University Interscholastic League (UIL) realignment announced Thursday has Coolidge’s football district unchanged and Wortham’s district reverting to what it was before the previous realignment.
The Mexia Blackcats won their first District 18-4A game Monday night at Robinson, which kept them in the hunt for a postseason playoff spot.
The Mexia boys soccer team erupted for six goals in the second half and whitewashed Marlin, 8-0, in a District 17-4A soccer match at Blackcat Field on Tuesday. The win lifted Mexia to 2-1 in district.
