\\The Mexia baseball team fell behind early and couldn’t make a comeback in a 9-3 loss to Fairfield at Blackcat Field on Tuesday night, March 7.
The Mexia softball team lost to Fairfield, 14-2, in its District 20-3A opener at Ladycat Field on Tuesday night, March 7.
The Mexia girls basketball team placed four players on the All-District 20-3A first team. Three others made the second team and four earned honorable mention.
Mexia powerlifter Olivia Wren entered the Region 2, Division 3 meet as the top seed in the 259-plus weight class and lived up to the billing to qualify for the state meet.
