Mexia-area residents are invited to enjoy a pancake breakfast the morning of the first Blackcat football game!
The Mexia football team got its feet wet and maybe even kicked some sand on its opponent, figuratively speaking, in its opening scrimmage of the season at Grandview on Thursday, Aug. 10.
The Mexia football team will make its first foray into competition Thursday when it travels to perennial state powerhouse Grandview for the first scrimmage of the season.
The Mexia football players put the summer strength and conditioning program behind them as they headed into the next phase of preparation with the first day of fall practice at Blackcat Field Monday afternoon.
Mexia Community Sports will hold sign-ups for the fall season and a free football and cheer camp today, Aug. 2, for ages 4-12 from 7-8 p.m. at Blackcat Field.
