Banker G. Drew Allbright, of Carrollton, was recently recognized by The Texas Bankers Association for completing 50 years in the banking industry, but he has not forgotten Mexia, the city where he was born and raised.

I did a double take when I read the article in the July 18 issue of The Mexia News that “Schools should look at COVID like the annual flu outbreaks,” so I decided to look up the statistics – no quotes from poets, just data, in response to his statements.
