Fain Everett Carroll Jr. passed away on Feb. 7, 2023, his 91st birthday, at his home in Mexia. Visitation with the family will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ronnie Dabney officiating. Interment will follow in the Wortham Cemetery. Randy Slater, Bobby Carroll, Josh Carroll, Joseph Carroll, Colton Clark, and James Trantham will serve as pallbearers.

John D. Murphey passed away Jan. 26, 2023. A funeral service was held Feb. 1 at Jones Funeral Service Chapel with Judge Ray Jone officiating.

Emily “Carlene” Kerzee Holt, of Point Enterprise, passed away at her home on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, at the age of 107. Visitation with the family will be at 1 p.m. at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home followed by her funeral at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 8, with Pastor Michael Kerzee officiating. Interment will follow in the Point Enterprise Cemetery. Vince Keys, Walt Harrison, Christopher Holt, Michael Dunn, Tommy Kerzee, and Walt Holt will serve as pallbearers.
