Minnie Ola Evans
The Angelic Hosts came for Mrs. Minnie Ola Evans at her residence in Teague on Sunday night, Sept. 23, 2018, among loving family and devoted friends.
Viewing will be held Friday, Oct. 5, from 1 to 7 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m. at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m. in the Antioch/Asia Primitive Baptist Church, 415 Washington St., Teague. The Rev. Lonnie Pelton, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in the Asia Cemetery in Teague.
Mrs. Evans was born May 22, 1933, in Kosse to Austin Love and Adine Owens Love. She was baptized in the Asia Primitive Baptist Church, Teague, and, upon moving to Crosby, Mrs. Evans united with Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. It was at that church that she served as a church usher as long as her health allowed.
Minnie united in holy matrimony with A. C. Evans on Sept. 28, 1952. Mr. Evans preceded her in death on June 7, 2000, after nearly 48 years of marriage.
Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings, Willie Love, Arthur Love, Rufus Love Elnora Gibson, Catherine Johnson, Alford Love, J. D. Johnson, Dorothy Love and Nancy Love; a son, Charles Edward Love; as well as a grand-daughter, Rochelle Evans.
She is survived by sons William E. Evans and wife, Terria, Mesquite, and Robert C. Evans, Teague; daughters, Caroline E. Thomas and husband, Kenneth E., Teague, and Mary E. Tennison and husband, Archie, Kilgore; grandsons, Cory, Christopher, Curtis Wayne, Michael and B.J.; grand daughters, LaDell, Nikie, Yolanda, Sheri and Shareka; 22 great-grandchildren; 14 great-greatgrandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
