Lee Milton Hobbs Jr.
Lee Milton Hobbs Jr. (Jr. Boy) was born on Aug. 14, 1958, to Lee Milton Hobbs Sr. and Lee Ellen Gamble Hobbs. He transitioned to his heavenly home Jan. 8, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Hobbs accepted Christ at an early age at Alexander Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. He was a member of Lone Star Missionary Baptist Church and later affiliated with Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church of Thornton under the leadership of Pastor T.R. Spivey.
Hobbs received his formal education from Dunbar and Mexia I.S.D.
Hobbs met and married Verna Davis in 1983. In their 38 years of marriage, God blessed them with three wonderful children, Tyrell Omar, Tristan LeMar and NaShari Whitney.
He worked for Duninck Construction for 30 years. In his spare time, Lee loved to listen to music, work on cars, play dominoes and play pool. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to spend time with his family.
Hobbs was preceded in death by his mother, Lee Ellen Gamble Hobbs; father, Lee Milton Hobbs Sr; sisters, Dorothy Lee Hobbs and Valresa Hobbs; and brother, Stanley Hobbs.
Survivors include his wife, Verna Hobbs; sons, Tyrell (Leanne) Hobbs and Tristan Hobbs; daughter, Nashari Hobbs (Randy) Odom; grandchildren, Tristan Jr., Kailyn Hobbs, Bryson Hobbs, Jaiden, Micah, Trinity, Tyson, Jordyn, Rilee and Jaxson; his siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Service and arrangements were made by Pearly Gates Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16, at Lone Star Missionary Baptist Church of Groesbeck.
