JULIE JOHNSON

Julie Laine Johnson, formerly of Midland, passed away on Dec. 27, 2021, in Mexia at the age of 60. Graveside services were conducted at 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Midland.

Julie was born March 27, 1961, in San Angelo to Roy Rhoads and Joyce LaRue (Stout) Johnson. She grew up in the Midland/Odessa area. She worked in several construction positions and, later, for Qualified Printers as a delivery driver.

Julie moved to Mexia in 2019 to be near family. Although Julie had no children, she loved her dogs as if they were her children. Buddy was most special to her. They were her best friends and always her constant companions.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Joyce Johnson; and a brother, Randy Johnson.

Julie is survived by her sister, Janise Shivers and husband Terry Don, of Mexia; two nephews, Christopher Shivers and wife JoAnna Shivers, of Mexia, and Daniel Johnson of Oklahoma; a niece, Emily Johnson of Oklahoma; and great a nephew, Kaison Woods of Tennessee.
