Joe was an avid bass fisherman and a longtime member of the Mexia Bass Club. He also enjoyed building barbecue smokers and had perfected his “top secret brisket rub recipe.” Joe Ed also loved to tell stories of the past and always had “words of wisdom” for anyone who would stop to listen.
