JOE B. COX

Joe B. Cox, 82, of Corsicana, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, at his residence. He was born Dec. 5, 1938, in Shreveport, La., to Christine and Leon B Cox. He attended Community Chapel Church.

He was preceded in the death by his parents, and his stepfather, John Belton Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Mary A. Cox of Corsicana; son Stephen Cox of Mexia, and Terry Cox of Colorado; stepchildren Sheila Poe and husband Gary, of Corsicana, Rodney Feix and wife Carol of Georgia, Cheryl Story and husband Louis of South Carolina; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and brother, Tim Cox and wife Gayle of Lewisville.

To celebrate Joe’s life, the family will hold a visitation from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. with a service immediately following on Thursday, Sept. 2, at Community Chapel Church, Avenue F and 13th St. in Corsicana.
