Jada Shirl Allen-Dugas
Jada Shirl Allen-Dugas was the fifth child born to Johnnie (Mims) Johnson and Oscar Allen on May 22, 1964.
Jada confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Mart. Later, the family moved to Waco and she became an active member of Carver Park Baptist Church. She graduated from La Vega High School in Waco and continued her education at McLennan Community College, where she earned her associate’s degree and then a BS from North Texas State University, Denton. Jada, also affectionately known as “Bugg,” “Chicken,” “Po Chickenz” and “Chicken Hawk,” was a perfectionist and always on time. Whenever one would see her, she always had a joke for you and would keep you laughing.
