GLENDA BETH HALL
Glenda Beth Hall was born and raised in Mexia. She graduated from Mexia High School in 1968. As a devoted wife and mother, she spent all of her time dealing with Matthew. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and traveling to new places. She loved nature and sharing it with her family.
At the age of 35 she became a registered nurse. She spent her nursing career working in Mexia. Most of that time was spent in the maternity ward. Some of her fondest memories were of the babies she helped bring into the world.
When their kids were younger, she and Cleatus enjoyed many adventures with their children, eventually meeting their goal of traveling to all 50 states and a few countries. It was not unusual for them to “disappear” for a few weeks with the intention of building life-long memories. While not traveling, she enjoyed crafting, sewing, baking and was very involved with the church.
Her love of God influenced everything she did and made a lasting impact on those around her. Just like her father, Glenda had a wonderful sense of humor that those closest to her experienced often. In her later years, she spent her days enjoying views of the lake and relaxing with her four-legged furry friend, Cotton.
Glenda was a beloved wife, mother, Granna, GG, aunt, cousin, nurse, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Cleatus Arthur Hall; her parents, Elmer Thomas Hawkins and Jennie V Hawkins; and her sisters, Patsy Hawkins, Peggy Ballard and Linda Elizabeth. She was loved by her children, Jennie Rasco and husband Elijah, Matthew Hall and wife Ashley, Sarah LeRoux and husband Mikey, and Rachel Coleman and husband, Clint.
She was blessed with many grandchildren, Devin, Mattie, Brittany, Clairissa, Colten, Valeigh, Brandon, Mattelyn, Morgan, Cash and Bailey. She was loved by her great-grandchildren, Kamden, Nylah, Braxten, Alex, Carson, Tucker and Weston.
There will be a visitation to celebrate her life, so please join us from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb.12, at Jones Funeral Home in Mexia.
