DENNA COPLEY

Denna Rae Copley passed away Aug. 4, 2021, in her home, surrounded by her loving husband and two daughters, at the age of 68. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 8, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Coolidge Cemetery. Arik Harrison, Jason Ancheta, Blake Barker, Raiden Wrigh, John Holland and Brandon Connally will serve as pallbearers. Ed Swiller will be an honorary pallbearer.

Visitation with the family will be prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m., at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.

Denna was born April 26, 1953, in Houston, to John Henry and Peggy Geneva (Allen) Haddox. She married James Copley on Nov. 4, 1978, in Coolidge. Denna was a wellknown beautician in Mexia for many years.

Denna loved her Lord and Savior, family, friends and people in general. She was a member of Northcrest Church of Christ. Her family was the light of her life. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and a truly amazing Mimi. Mimi cherished her grandchildren and tried to spoil them as much as possible. Her compassionate ways extended to many others. Denna loved to shop, and, on numerous occasions, she would gladly take some of her elderly customers shopping. She was also a part-time beautician for several nursing homes. Denna worked hard her entire life, and she took pride in her work.

Denna collected angels, enjoyed sewing, loved sweets, especially chocolate, and loved animals. Turquoise was her favorite color. Denna also took pride in the way she looked.

Denna’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the care that Community Hospice of Texas provided.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Peggy Haddox.

Denna is survived by her husband, James Copley; daughters Tiffany Barker-Harrison and Arik Harrison and Nicki Ancheta and Jason Ancheta; grandchildren Triniti, Blake, Raiden, Malaki, Gavin and Asia; and sister, Donna Connelly of Trenton.
