BRANDI NICOLE MARTINEZ
Mexia resident Brandi Nicole Martinez, 45, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 17, 2021, at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia. Funeral services were Oct. 21, 2021 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Mexia with Kip Stuver officiating. Interment followed at Point Enterprise Cemetery. Family visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Jones Funeral Services.
Brandi was born Feb. 15, 1976, in Mexia, to Billy Patterson and Anne Jones Patterson. In her youth, she was active at First Baptist Church, helping with Sunday school. She graduated from Mexia High School in 1995. Her sons, Blake and Ryan, were her world and the loves of her life. She loved the holidays and couldn’t wait to get her tree up every year.
Brandi was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Charlene Patterson and Marie Jones; cousins, Adam Gordon, Michael Gordon and Landon Rusnak; uncle, Larry Paul Jonesl and father-in-law, Dionicio Martinez.
She is survived by her sons, Blake and Ryan Martinez of Mexia; mother, Anne Jones Patterson of Mexia; father and step-mother, Billy and Medra Patterson of Fairfield; brother and sister-in-law, Michael David and Marcia Lamb of Hilltop Lakes; grandfather, Billy Jack Patterson of Mexia; niece, Myka Kristine and great nieces, Olivia and Isabella; mother-in-law, Theresa Martinez; step-sisters, Haley Plemmons and Emily Plemmons; as well as numerous cousins and other extended family.
Pallbearers were Blake Posey, Ty Bechtel, Cody Lamb, Matt Kuehn, Matthew Hall, Josh Martinez and Mason Beard and Ben Jones. Honorary pallbearers were Kip Stuver and Chris Jones.
