STANLEY ODIS TATUM
Stanley Odis Tatum was born Nov. 10, 1962, in Limestone County to the late Elbert Jr. Tatum and Ruby Tatum. Stanley confessed to Christ at an early age, attending Head Branch M.B. Church under the leadership of Pastor H.C. Lewis. He later joined Mt. Gideon Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Larry Gray. Stanley loved spending time with friends and family. He loved playing softball and enjoyed fishing. He loved to watch Westerns in his spare time.
He passed away Nov. 11, 2021.
Stanley graduated from high school in 1981. He worked for Hobby Unit Prison in Marlin, a few years then worked for the Limestone Road and Bridge until his health failed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon Tatum; sister, Rita; and brothers, EJ Tatum and Russell Tatum.
Those who will cherish his memories most are his daughter, Lakendra Tatum; stepson, Kevin Gibson; brothers, Earnest Tatum, Elgin Tatum, Clarence (Daphne) Tatum, Wayne (Cheroyl) Tatum and Eric Tatum; sister, Ruby Jean (Ron) Sims; special grandchild, Symphony Tackett; special friends, Spencer Wilson, Wesley Willard, Kenneth Stutts and Roddy Swanson; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Service and arrangements entrusted to Pearly Gates Funeral Home. Service was held Nov. 20 at First Baptist Church of Groesbeck.
