CYNTHIA ANN ROBERTS

Cynthia Ann Roberts departed from her earthly home on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, at Parkview Hospital in Mexia.

Cynthia was born May 21, 1971, to the parentage of the late Luster R.D. Williams and Charles Ruth Quigley-Williams in Limestone County.

Cynthia attended Mexia public schools and graduated in 1989. She accepted Christ at an early age. She became a member at First Mexia Baptist Church, under the leadership of Apostle Patricia Horn-Heidgerken. She worked at the Mexia State School a total of 32 years.

Cynthia was a lovable, kind and compassionate person. She met the love of her life, Alexander Christopher “Chris” Roberts, in 1988, and they were married July 22, 2001. From the marriage, two children were born, Draylon Montrall Roberts and Janeria Nicole Roberts. They were side by side until her passing. Cynthia loved her family. She enjoyed cooking and doing weddings and parties; that was her passion. She loved to see people happy. Everyone loved her, and most importantly, she was a nightly prayer warrior.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Charles Ruth Quigley-Williams; father Luster R.D. Williams; grandbaby, A’Draya Peyton-Roberts; brother Luster R.D. Williams Jr.; and sisters Ivanna Reader and Pamela Sterling

Those who will honor her life and cherish her memories are her husband of 20 years, Christopher “Chris” Roberts; two children, Draylon Roberts and Janeria Roberts; one granddaughter, Ava Roberts; two sisters, Sharon Lyles (Brett) of Waco, and Penny Burnett of Dallas; three brothers Kenneth Quigley, Michael Quigley and Anthony Henderson (Renee) of McGregor; two aunts, Ora Benson (Earnest) of Temple, and Betty Quigley of Mexia; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Cynthia will be held Sunday, Sept. 19, at 2 p.m. at Northcrest Church of Christ, 918 Tehuacana Hwy. in Mexia. Minister Cedrick Gamble will officiate and Apostle Patricia Heidgerken will be the eulogist. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Mexia.
