SOCCARSA ‘SUE’ FLICK

Soccarsa “Sue” Flick passed away at the the home of her daughter in Mexia on May 19, 2021, at the age of 91.

Sue was born Sept. 1, 1929, in Glen Cove, Nassau County, New York, to Carlo Ceglia and Felicetta M. Spinelli. Her father was from Italy and was a carpenter by trade.

Sue grew up with 10 siblings in New York and she loved to be with family and go to dances.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; nine siblings; and her husband, Richard Flick.

She is survived by her sister, Yolanda Ruthowsiki, of Glen Cove, N.Y., daughter Charlotte and husband Kenneth Richardson, daughter Felicitta Rocha, son David Wyatt, all of Mexia, and son Henry Edward Jr. and wife Patty of Bullhead City, Ariz.

Sue leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; also numerous nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends.

The family would like to express its deepest gratitude to Reliant at Home Hospice Team.

Sue will be buried in Bakersfield, Calif., at Hillcrest Memorial Park Mortuary.
