FRANCIS M. KRATOCHVIL

Mr. Francis M. Kratochvil, 93, passed away on March 10, 2021, at Heart to Heart Hospice in Fort Worth. Graveside services were held on Wednesday, March 17, at Mexia Cemetery. Fr. Carlo Benjamin P. Magnaye, M.F., officiated.

Mr. Kratochvil was born on Feb. 2, 1928, in Mexia, to Frank and Albina Kratochvil. Upon graduating from Mexia High School, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his service, he worked for Southern Pacific Railroad, retiring after 47 years as a signal maintainer. He was a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Mexia. Francis was an avid sports fan, and loved watching his Houston Astros and Texans.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors in clude his daughter, Debra Sullivan and husband Randy of Lipan; grandsons Jason Douglas and Nathan Douglas and wife Kristal; and great-grandchildren, Mallory, Addison and Britton.
