WILLIAM SHELTON MOORE
William Shelton Moore, of Mexia, passed away on Feb. 20, 2021 in Waco, at the age of 85. A graveside service was to be held at noon, Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, in the Tehuacana Cemetery with the Rev. Shane Norcross officiating.
William was born May 7, 1935, in Marshall, to Martin Andrew Moore and Jewel Moore Rogers. After graduating high school, he entered The University of Texas in Austin, where he received an Engineering Degree. He worked as a Computer Programmer for several companies, prior to retiring from Huntsman after 30 years of service.
William was a loving husband, amazing dad, stepdad, brother and grandfather. He had a kind heart, enjoyed watching the birds and just loved everything pertaining to nature. Although he enjoyed all sports, he was an avid Longhorn and Dallas Cowboys fan. William was also a member of First Baptist Church in Mexia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Martin Moore; mother, Jewel Moore Rogers; wife, Patsy Ruith Moore; and brother, Philip A. Moore.
William is survived by two daughters, Dana Lee Edwards and Chapman Nicole Barnard and husband, Curtis; stepchildren, Harvey Harrison and Kimbra Brininstool and husband, Bobby; grandchildren, Alex Chapman Barnard, Chance William Barnard, Brooke Nicole Barnard, Sarah Harrison, Jagger Brininstool, Blazer Brininstool and Patsy Ann Harrison; brother, Robert A. Moore and wife, Jennifer; sister, Martha Clickard and husband, Martin; brothers and sisters-in-laws, William H. and Cynthia Lowry and Randy and Joan Teel; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
