THE REV. NEFTALI GUZMAN ROSADO
The Rev. Neftali Guzman Rosado, 83, son of Ramon and Maria Guzman, was born on July 22, 1937, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He left this earth to walk alongside the Lord in the Kingdom of Heaven on Feb. 7, 2021.
A selfless loving husband, father and grandfather, he will always be remembered as the man with arms wide open and a place for you at his table. Neftali became a pastor and devoted his life to preaching the word of God alongside his wife, Olga Guzman, whom he married Dec. 16, 1978. Throughout 42 years of marriage Neftali and Olga pastored a church by the name of Arca de Refugio in the city of Fontana, Calif. They made their home in Mexia to retire in the latter part of 2011. Their retirement plants changed, ultimately planting a sister church, Arca de Refugio (Mexia) across the street from their home.
Neftali lived his life as a talented musician and traveled the world preaching the word of God; expressing his love for the Lord not only by his words but with his passion for music. Missionary work was not a job but a life calling. He touched the lives of many and encouraged many to trust and follow the path provided by God.
“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His faithful servants.” Psalms 116:15
