GARY LEE PUSKA
Gary Lee Puska was born on Aug. 23, 1947, in Magnolia, Ark., to George and Maxine Buchanan Puska. He passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2020, in Groesbeck, at the age of 73.
Gary was a 1965 graduate of Franklin High School and was a member of the Frankin Lions football team. He was employed with GTE-Verizon for 30 years before his retirement. He married Sally Walker on Oct. 9, 1998, in San Angelo. Gary was of the Baptist faith.
Gary was respected and loved by all who knew him. He was called a great friend and was always there to lend a helping hand or give advice when needed.
He had a huge heart and a passion for coon hunting. He loved his family and will be missed by the many lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Barnett; sister Elizabeth Ann Puska; father George Puska and stepfather, Raymond Barnett.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Sally Puska, of Lake Limestone; stepdaughters Kimberly Key and Rick Unfred, of Grand Junction, Colo., and Angelina Brock, of Moab, Utah; stepbrothers Charles Barnett, of New Baden, and Richard Barnett, of Franklin; grandchildren Felicia Ellison, of Franklin, and Jacqueline Wood, of Rockdale.
A private family service will be held.
