MARGIE FARRIS

Margie Farris, 91, of Mexia, passed away July 27, 2020, at Skilled Care of Mexia.

Margie was born Dec. 1, 1928, in Limestone County, to Al and Lulie Mae Archibald Black.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Cecil Farris; brother William Lee Black and sister, Vera Mae Phillips. Margie is survived by her sons, Cyril Farris and Haskell Farris; grandchildren Amanda Jo Danner, Anthony Farris, James Farris, Macee Neher, Kyler Farris and Katy Farris; numerous great-grandchildren; brother Argie Black; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 30, at 2 p.m. at Mexia City Cemetery, with the Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 29, 6-8 p.m. at Corley-Porter Funeral Home, Mexia.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cyril Farris, Haskell Farris, Anthony Farris, James Farris, Kyler Farris and Cody Lamb.

The family of Margie would like to give special thanks to Laura Gore, Jaime Sleziak, Heather Cholopisa, Chris Sheppard, Rose, Cheryl Robinson and Dura Anglin for their above and beyond service and care of Margie.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence Hospice, Mexia.
