Jo Fielder Smart

Jo Fielder Smart was born July 13, 1945, in Corsicana, and passed away Jan. 28, 2020, in Houston.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Lud and Cora Alvira Fielder; and her son-in-law, Cameron Wayne Bammel.

Jo is survived by her daughter, Stacy Bammel; and two sons and daughters-in-law, Clay and Kimberly Armstrong and Michael and Kristina Cain. She is also survived by her sister, Cora June Fielder.

Jo will be missed by her grandchildren, Shane Bammel and his wife Taryn Bammel, Aubrey Armstrong, Cassidy Armstrong, Riley Armstrong, Mackenzie Cain, Adam Cain, Xerxes Green and Bridin Green.

Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, at Cotton Gin. Visitation will be before the services, from noon to 1 p.m., at Corley-Porter Funeral Home in Mexia.
