The Texas Historical Commission is extending the Round XI grant application deadline for its award-winning Texas Historic Courthouse Preservation Program (THCPP) until Monday, May 11, 2020 at 5 p.m.
Parking lot birding! I want to go birding in the forest with the tallest and biggest limbs, not on a parking lot. Most people want that opportunity to look at the most colorful creatures in God’s creation, but I have found another way to observe these winged pieces of feathered beauty. How to see birds in a more open space is found on a parking lot, bird blind, boardwalk, nature center and about any place where the birds are not too bothered. Look at a parking lot and you see birds around the edge. These areas offer a vantage point where you can peer into the surrounding habitats. These hard areas surfaced of concrete or whatever makes observation by anyone who is mobility impaired a more comfortable period.
Limestone County Judge Richard Duncan appointed a new county health authority in a bid to increase the speed of the county’s obtaining the results of those who have tested for the COVID-19 virus – and Duncan is already seeing improvement.
