Limestone County District Attorney Roy DeFriend said he was shocked Thursday morning when he received an email from the state Parole Board, notifying him Carlos Don Stultz, the man convicted of assaulting and killing Mexia teen Kathy Jones in 1968, was being considered for a medical parole.
