This week at Mexia LTC we started off playing bean bag toss on Monday morning. Residents played bingo on Monday afternoon. Residents enjoyed Bible study by Bob Kersten on Tuesday morning. Residents hallway bowled on Tuesday afternoon.
Sherri Hall, already a consultant for Paparazzi Jewelry, is opening Mexia’s newest business, Big Baby Bling Boss LLC, which is located at 200 N. Paris St. The ribbon-cutting for her new store was at 2 p.m. Monday.
One thing we feel right now is the dropping of the temperatures, and it is so nice. One thing we see right now is the rising of gas prices, and that is so uncomfortable. And there just isn’t a whole lot being done to address the issue at the moment.
There were lots of sweet kiddos looking to satisfy their sweet tooth at the annual Boo Bash trunk-or-treat event in downtown Mexia. More photos, Page 8.
Nearly 100 people, including family, friends and former players and colleagues were at the Mexia High School auditorium Saturday for a memorial service to pay tribute to former Mexia football coach Norman Cobb, who passed away Oct. 14 in Austin at the age of 83.
